Why on earth should you care about what we think a ninja is?

Because it’s how we define ourselves at InteliKinect. To celebrate International Ninja Day, we thought of no better day to tell everyone what we think it means to be a ninja.

It came from a brainstorming session – one afternoon, we sat down as a team to figure out which word best describes how awesome we are. We came to the conclusion that we are ninjas. The formal definition for ninja is a person skilled in ninjutsu, and the informal definition is a person who excels in a particular skill or activity. Perfect. That’s just what we do.

As a unique team with different strengths and different views of what it means to be a ninja, we have compiled what being a ninja means to each member of our team.

Mission Statement

A company dedicated to connecting small businesses to the people who matter most. Intelligent, Efficient, and Accountable, we are a team of solution-driven ninjas focused on creating your customer experience. From first click to sale, we bridge the gap turning potential into reality.

Ninja to me means being masterful and disciplined. In our growing business, we are mastering the art of communication delivering the perfect message of our clients to their leads. We follow the process and the scripting and are constantly working to develop and master the most effective lead conversion and follow-up program.

Ashley

Ninja to me means persistence. There is so much behind the scenes work that goes on before accomplishing the set goal. As a start-up company, we are constantly collaborating, analyzing, experimenting and adapting. We are ninjas, putting in the work so the victory of exceeding all of our goals is that much sweeter.

Michael

Ninja to me means agile. As a startup, one of our greatest strengths is how quickly we can pivot or change direction and I truly enjoy working in such a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Going forward, this is the one trait of being a ninja that I hope Kinect Corp can maintain – even once we hit Fortune 500 😉

Kristen

Ninja means to me being versatile and being able to roll with the punches. I think as a start-up company, we have gotten really good at the art of going with the flow. While we have a plan and processes in place, we also know that we cannot control every aspect of things. I think one of our greatest strengths in this company is being able to adapt to a situation quickly and effectively and knowing that we are all capable of solving the issue in front of us

Alain

It means focus.  But not just any focus, Laser Focus.  While running multiple verticals and multiple channels within each vertical, I have found it more important than ever to focus on one thing at a time rather than many things at once.  It is this laser focus that has enabled me to be more productive not less in my day-to-day.

Paulina

To me, a Ninja is always looking towards their next move. They are methodical, precise, respectful, and diligent. Being a Ninja means having the courage to do what everyone else is not, to push yourself, be proud of those decisions, and always think about how you can lend a hand to others.

Brandon

Ninja means mastery. Being a Ninja means you have mastered the way of the sword and the art of war. Without that, you’re just a glorified bodyguard. But ninja’s are not solely focused on war. They are also highly in tune with their environment and those in it. Ninja’s have mastered awareness and self-control. They are incredibly cognisant of how their movements, actions, and attitudes affect their environment and those within it.

Kathleen

A Ninja is committed and loyal. They are willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done by any means. Being a Ninja means thinking of the best option and executing without fail. It requires intelligence, strength, and accountability to uphold a ninja status. Their actions speak louder than words and they never back down from a challenge.

Erin

Patience and ingenuity are two traits that come to my mind when I think of a Ninja. This team has created a successful company that was able to adapt to today’s ever-changing society. Each person works very well together at collaborating and executing their clever ideas. A ninja knows when to take action and they have a strategic plan before they do so.
