Team Spotlight- 7 Questions with Kristen Bollinger
In this week’s Team Spotlight we sat down with our Execute Assistant, Kristen. In this interview, I sat down with Kristen, the Execute Assistant, for InteliKINECT to learn more about her vital role in the company and what matters to her. Though she has only been here for a year, she has made some major impacts on the company. Come August, she will take on a new role as the Project Manager, where she will get more responsibility and more work ;)
Briefly describe what you do all day.
I do a lot of different things working with our two different verticals. But I guess a normal day at the office for me consists of continuing to build our business by working on different projects that are assigned to me. Recently, I have been working on our GFE form and making sure it’s effective.
What’s the best thing about your job?
The best thing about my job is definitely the people that I work with. They are some of the most hard working people I have ever met and they are all so dedicated to making this company amazing.
It is so refreshing to be at a company where everyone truly has the same goals for the company and we are all working towards those goals together. It’s an environment where I can offer suggestions and opinions to the bosses and not feel judged or looked down on.
What’s been one of your proudest moments working at inteliKINECT?
I built the form system that we now use every day. It was a lot of trial and error but it feels so rewarding to finally finish it and seeing it implemented in our daily work flow.
What do you like to do when you’re not at the office?
When I’m not at the office, you can either find me working towards my degree in Early Childhood Development or working with the musical theatre program my mentor and I created together. I also love being outdoors and exploring the world with my boyfriend and best friends.
Fill in the blank: I once met…
I once met John Travolta. I went to the Hairspray movie premiere when I was a kid and he signed my Zac Efron head. He was a super nice guy!
When he walked by, my friend and I sang “Grease Lightning” and he turned around and said “Oh yeah!” So that was a super cool moment!
What’s the song that best describes your personality?
La Vie Boheme from RENT. It’s such a carefree song and it really inspires me to do whatever I want to do and not worry about what other people are going to think. That show changed my perspective on life.
What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?
If I have learned anything here at this company, it's that your opinion matters. If you feel like you have a good idea on how to better build the company, speak up. You may get turned down or you may have just given them the idea that they were looking for.
